Gold Class is a carnuba wax. It does not have a great ability to hide any small imperfections and is not famous for being durable.

NXT is a synthetic wax. It does have an ability to hide small imperfections. Its durability is questioned by some and praised by others.

I like NXT. If you want a good OTC Carnuba the Megs #26 is nice. You could also go with some of the Mothers products but I am not familiar with them.

I think he was referring to the whole product lines.

In my experience, the smell of the GC line isn`t anything special, while the NXT line of products tend to have a fruity smell.

As far as one line being better than the other, I`d say NXT gets the vote. I like the soap, and the wax isn`t too bad. I use the NXT Tech Protectant on engine rubber/plastic with great results.

NXT hands down. Since it is synthetic it will also last longer.

Gold Class has been reformulated and it is a poly/carnauba blend. Also, Megs claims it is designed to sheet vs bead water. NXT is a synthetic wax. Mothers Reflections is another good OTC choice.

They are both polymer sealants, NXT gives better darkening abilities on red and darker color cars and more wet looking than Gold Class. Gold Class has never caught on with the detailing crowd for some reason.

cool, thanks guys... ive been using Gold Class on my Jeep for about a year now.. Im thinking of trying NXT now, since it was stated that NXT has a wetter look with dark colored vechiles, that is great because my Jeep is black
