Ok, I just got my PC and I needed to try to get some of my swirls out. I had #9 (meguairs swirl remover) and I tried applying that by both hand and pc and it will didnt do anything for the swirls.

So I ran to my local pepboys and with my trusty guide, http://www.dano.pocketrubbish.com/detailing/productchart.htm , I found perfect it II rubbing compound (39002) . Ran home, and tried it with the PC. Now I dont even have the correct pads yet, Im using the stock one that came with the PC. Dont worry, I should be getting my SONUS kit in a day or two. But I couldent wait.

So I applied the product to the pad and rubbed it on the area I was going to work on while the pc was off. Turned it on to 1 and did a few slow passes, bumped it up to 3 did a few more passes, bumped it up to 6 did a few more passes. Removed it, and here is the result.

I dont have a before pic of the EXACT location, but the 2 before pics you see are 2 other spots on the hood directly above the spot and to the right of the spot I did. They all had similar swirl marks.

Now I have a question.

1) I am supposed to be applying this before the AIO right? Or is AIO really neccessary after applying this?

2) On half of my hood, I already applied AIO and SG. I want to get the swirls out. Can I just put this rubbing compound ontop of these layers and will it still work? Or do i need to remove the SG at least, with AIO I would assume.

Please wait for the good pads before you do anymore work with the PC.

AIO would come after the 3M

The 3m will remove your SG, so no need for AIO before the 3m product.
