I used IPA as discussed here to dissolve or loosen the sap and my finger nail to get it gone. But its there another option besides the finger nail? There was a whole lotta sap this time.

If it`s fresh, a chemical paint cleaner ought to do the trick. Best thing is to get it right away (same day) with a QD.

Try a claybar...
If the sap is really bad, you may have to throw the clay out after use or maybe save it for wheel duty...
