Meguiar`s ColorX is a stronger cleaner that leaves behind a decent polymer layer. You can get it OTC, at auto stores and Walmart/Target.

Acrylic Jacket is in the mail, and I`m dying to try it. CMA says it`s like AIO on steroids. We shall see.

aio or colorx are both good choices
you say not quiet bad enough for clay?? 99% of driven cars will have some surface contaminents and will benefit greatly from a clay! have you ever tried clay? unless your car has been under a cover forever i think you should try clay...then cleaner wax!!

AIO, is by far the easiest, and best result-- bang for your buck..
