Automotive lacquer thinner will remove touch-up-paint. You can usually find some at your local Autobody supply.

I`ve also been able to remove fresh Touch-up paint with Prep-Sol provided it hasn`t really fully cured

Not automotive Lacquer thinner. I`ve done it b4 and had no adverse effects.

I used the Automotive Lacquer Thinner from a AutoBody suppler and not from Lowes or Home Depot.

You can always call/write someplace that sells touchup paint and ask them how to remove it and see what they say.

Lacquer thinner is an accepted method, *BUT* it can cause trouble if the touchup is on a repainted panel. The shop that does my painting uses it and sometimes has an "uh-oh" because of this.

I usually wetsand the previous-owner blobs myself. Sometimes they even look OK after some sanding and polishing.
