Steps:

1. Wash - Griots Car Wash

2. Clay - Griots Clay and Speed Shine (SS)

3. Remove swirls with a medium Polish like Menzerna IP (only if necessary)

4. Mild polish with Zaino ZPC Fusion to clean the paint and bring out the gloss

5. Protect finish with a quality wax or sealant

6. Z2 Pro + ZFX

7. Z6 in between coats 2X

8. Z8 Final seal

9. That’s it! You’re done. Enjoy the beautiful shine!!

Yes, it could. They are both fine polishes that produce a very nice finish.

I don`t understand your steps number 5 and 6.

If you apply a wax after all the polishing, you don`t want to put Zaino on top of that, because, as I understand it, the Zaino Z2, which is a polymer sealant, not a wax, will not bond to the paint because of the wax barrier.

I think you simply skip your step #5, because you do that when you apply Zaino. If you apply a wax at that point, don`t bother with the Zaino because it will come off with the wax. You should read up on this at the zaino brothers web pages, which have lots of good information.

I read here that some people apply wax over Zaino, and although I have not done that, some say they like the look. However, once you add in a layer of wax, any polymers on top of that will not bond to the paint or to previous layers of the polymer. It is this bonding that gives Zaino its longevity, which, at least to me, is one of the main reasons I use it.

In summary, Z2 Pro + ZFX (step 6) does "protect the finish" and is a sealant, so you don`t need step 5.

Correct, steps 6-8 replaces step 5 (sealant). Thanks for clarification.
