Hi everyone,

Would it be a good idea to use Menzerna FP II as a paint prep. and then apply Acrylic Jett over that? Also, does anyone think that getting IP is a must?

Thanks,

Gabe

You only need IP if defects in your paint are bad enough.

I have prime, AJ and CJ, but have not used them yet.

You will need Prime as a base for AJ.

You will need Prime as a base for AJ.That is not true. They are a system but you do not NEED prime. I have used AIO as a base and its worked just fine.

Mainly because AIO and Prime are basically the same thing. You could use Carlack as a base also.

I bet you could use the Menzerna polishes FP II or my favorite PO85RD and you would not have a problem with AJ. It is nothing magical. Just need a good clean surface to bond. Mind you I am no chemist so this is strictly IMHO.
