45` Newell Motor Coach. Already washed but it took me about 6.5 hours to wax it with Meguiars #20 Polymer Sealant and I removed the excess with Optimum Car Wax so basically, I was able to put two coats of wax on it in the time it normally takes to apply one. :) I figured since he was giving me work on a day I would otherwise not have done any detailing due to heavy fog and mist much of the day, I could spend a little more time and product and make the bus look extra good. I took pics with my other camera but have several pics left to go on that roll.

BTW, you can see the rolling staircase he has in the warehouse for me to use. :bow

oh come on Scott, you didn`t remove all the swirls?! That would`ve only taken you an extra day and a half... still, it looks pretty good. the reflections of the flourescents look damn good. When is he going to have you do an interior detail ^^

Do RV`s have the same kind of paint that is used on cars? Newell... that rig just screams $$$$ and with the warehouse setup... that customer has some money :D

Suprisingly, there are no spider swirls in the paint. Not typical automotive paint either, seems real thick-gel coat maybe?

If I had to compound out swirls, I would probably have to put a good 20+ hours into it. Took me 6.5 hours to wax it and all the glass.

His housekeeper cleans the interior.

...and yes, he has serious money. He had a Bentley and Diablo, now has the Rolls Phantom I regularly take care of. According to one of the guys who works for him, he is looking into getting a McLaren F1.

I just know the Newell name from my grandpa. His main thing that he wants if he ever wins the lottery is a Newell coach. His 33` bounder is fine right now, but he really envy`s the $1million++ 40`+ Newell`s.

One of the neat facts about the Newell coach`s, and one of the main reasons why they`re so expensive.... Instead of converting an old bus shell, Newell actually makes a combined frame and body as one piece from scratch (I guess this is called a unibody design?). I watched how they made the coaches on a tv show a while back. Pretty cool stuff!

wowzers... that wetness rivals some of the well known carnauba combo`s used here... what was the process on that detail? is the roof painted or is it the same plasticky stuff that`s on my grandpa`s roof?

Long Haul Polish/Wax via PC the last time. The roof is painted but not gloss.

CRAP!!! I spent 5 hours on the roof alone for a 36 foot job. This was just removing the contaminants and crud and dirt!!!

Hats off once again!

I didn`t mess with the top other than the windscreen above the roof in the front. The hard part is getting around the slide-outs since he didn`t want to mess with pulling them in. I didn`t do any polishing, just basically a one step job.

Great great efforts!

Good choice on the combo, too. I don`t think I`d do anything different.

I was really pleased how it turned out. Sadly though, other than helping my brother set up 5 computers and deal with some other software issues on Tuesday night (he has a computer business), that and the bus have been my only income since last Thursday because of the weather...and it is supposed to rain today and tomorrow still. http://www.scottwax.com/rice/videos/smilies/madrun.gif

I`m glad I had such a strong January!
