In the US Meguiars Car Care Products regularly run workshops on car detailing for Professional Detailers and Enthusiasts and I have approached the local Meguiars distributor here in Melbourne, Professional Detailing Supplies P/L out at Campbellfield, to see if the also conduct these workshops. They have done workshops for Car Club groups and are prepared to do a workshop for me if I can organise a group. Anyone interested?

It would be on a Saturday starting at 9:00am and finish around 1:00pm. They will demonstrate the different products, how to apply/use them, how to get the best finish and machine buffing techniques. Another benefit is, once you have been on one of these workshop you have a link into them to get special pricing and advice.

Not sure the cost, which is dependant on the number of people, but it could be <$50.00.

Reply if you are interested.

ICANDY (Damian), where are you located?

The reason I dreamt this up was a) I have read on Autopia over a period of time that these workshops were run by Megs in the US & b) I bought an Orbital & pads some time back and have had only limited success.

Therefore I am keen to get a professional to demonstrate machine buffing techniques. I have received a heap of advice from fellow Autopians and practiced but I am a visual type of guy :), and really need to see someone who knows what they are doing to learn from.

I also have a range of different products for different application and that is another reason, ie. to get a professional`s view on what works best for different reasons.

ICANDY, looks like I need to explore what you have to offer a bit more eh? If tegboy recommends you that is good enough for me.

I have already committed to the other guys with a bunch for 300C Forum members so I will see that through but will contact you about your workshop.

How about that rain on saturday in melbourne.

At coburg I had water gushing out of my car`s wheel arches like a giant fountain

I hope to have damian over as a special guest (pay him to of course) to demostrate the fine art of machine polishing

I hold car care clinics for free throughout the year and damian is the man I need to do this as he`s a heck of a lot better than I am with a rotary and orbital

The attendants on that day would have to pay a small fee but with mine there is no product flogging or bagging other brands

Can`t stand those who push meg`s products and nothing else during there clinics

There do not appear to be any megs clinics as such, as the product is represented here by distributors.
