Just got my new Hitachi in the mail along with the properautocare advanced pad kit w/backing plate. Can`t wait to take her for a spin.

I got my hitachi rotary and my excel order of pads and BP`s a week or two ago. I`m still trying to find a local bodyshop with an extra hood or something laying around to practice on :(

I got mine a little while ago also! Very happy with the purchase. However, I`m very sad I haven`t been able to use it yet due to the cold weather over here!! :hairpull

Did PAC match the $99 price that they have at Coastal Tools?

Coastal Tool actually has it for only $95. Other retailers are charging $150-$200.

It`s $95? I was close. I wonder why their price is SO much lower than everyone else`s. This is so cheap I may just order one to keep around. Of course then I`d have to get a test panel to practice on.

I would ask if there units are NEW or REFURBISHED. I believe they are new.

I just did a panel on my stored Regal.

I just used it on speed 1, with some FPII. The thing is very comfortable to use, well balanced even when using the handle.

Me likes!

Is this a good backing plate (http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?ref=exceldetail&ct=37932&pd=254830) from excel to use with the hitachi?

Could I use the P2 pads that I already have for my PC with the above backing plate and the hitachi?

Congrats, the Hitachi was very easy for me to learn how to use a rotary. Have some fun!
