This car belongs to one of my customers fiance. She was visiting from NY for the weekend and he wanted me to give the car a "quickie" before she went home. I only had 2 hours to work on it while he ran a few errands so time was limited. He said to make the tires "really shiny", so that`s what I did.

Overall, the paint was in pretty good shape besides a few scratches and bugs stuck to the front.

It actually came out pretty good considering the time I spent on it.

My process:

Washed exterior

Cleaned wheels, tires & wheel wells

Buffed complete exterior with Optimum Polish mixed with a little RMG

Natty`s Blue by hand

Meguiars Gold Class Tire Gel for the tires x2 (too shiny for me!)

Super Blue dressing for the wheel wells

Hot!

Nice two step combo. I might have to venture there.

I was trying to think of the fastest way to get the best results & that `s what I came up with.

I kinda stole the idea from Scottwax`s "pink moose" except with Optimum

Well I guess we have further proof of the quality of Nattys Blue (and Rick`s mad detailing skills).

I think you mis-typed the title. That`s a SL 500. :-P Anyway, very clean looking car! Shiny!

Looks great. Mixing a little RMG with the polish is a great idea.

You guys are so freakin` fast.

After two hours I would be lucky to be at the polishing step!

wow, amazing work. Very impressed at the quality considering how little time you spent on this.

Well, thanks for all the compliments guys.

DSVWGLI: I figure the ratio is about 1 part RMG to 9 parts OP. I didn`t really measure when I mixed it up. I kinda went by eye. Before I added the Natty`s, I wiped down the car lightly with a microfiber towel to remove excess haze left from polishing. The Natty`s really brought out the deep, wet look I was shooting for. To be honest, I think she was more pleased that her tires were shiny than anything!
