Got a call from a buddy of mine about having his mothers 2005 Blazer done. Someone had kicked the door, and left a big footprint on it. Wanted it protected as well, but when it arrived, it was hella swirled after only 4000 miles.
Processes:
Paint:
SSR 2.5 via rotary and cutting pad at 1500 rpm x2.
Automagic GS1 (medium cut) via rotary at 2000RPM via polishing pad.
Sonus Sfx2 via PC at 6 via polishing pad
Megs #80 via PC at 4 on polishing pad.
Collonite 476S x2
Trim/Tires:
Automagic Dress it Right
Poorboys Natural Look on rear tire
Poorboys Trim Restorer
Before (lookg like crap though. Don`t show the swirling because the vehicle was wet at the time):

Great job. Paint looks nice and wet. :)
I would be a little concerned about old tire cleaner though...I used an old Eagle One tire dressing (probably +3 years) and it definitely was a mess.

I only used it on one tire to see what it did. It didn`t do anything, so I just through out the bottle. All the tires were dressed with Automagic Dress It Right. Thanks for the compliment though.

Excellent as always, Steve. :up
I`m glad the two MLs and the 740 I am detailing over the weekend (got a lot done today) only need two steps aside from some spot polishing, because if I had to do 4 polishing steps like you did on that Blazer, I`d be there most of Monday too!
I bet your harsh winter weather has a lot to do with it though, eh?

Not bad, but is it me or does:
Megs #80 via PC at 4 on polishing pad.
Collonite 476S x2
do an awful lot of filling?

If there was something to fill yes. The sonus I ordered worked wonders on the haze that the SSR2.5 left. I didn`t really notice anything with the #80. I only did the rear hatch and roof with it to fill in what ever was left (I don`t like polishing too much from the roof).

Geez, I thought Chevy stopped making the Blazer. That design is getting a little dated. It looks just like my friends 95`. Nice detail though!

That is the `98 and newer style. Your friend`s Blazer has a different interior (completely redesigned for the newer generation, dual airbags, etc) different front grille, front head lights/parking lights, paint options, and a few other changes.
As far as I know, 2004 was the last production year of this vehicle.

It said 2005 in the driver`s manual. I know for a fact, that they only made 2 door`s for the 2005 model.
2000firebird, its not armor all, its a cleaner made by armor all. It says whitewalls, cloth, plastic. I wouldn`t trust it though. I`d say probably around 20 years old by my grandfathers estimates.
