I had done an exterior detail on this `06 330ci in December and she had me come out today and wash her car. When I got there, I noticed all the wheels were horribly black and dressing sling was all over the bottom half of the car. She said she took it in for servicing and against her wishes, they washed it. They obviously sprayed some grease based garbage on the tires, getting it all over the wheels too, plus all the sling.

She took this pictures and sent them to me. She also is going to take them up to Moritz BMW to show them why they are never to wash her car again. Pretty sad when their free wash is so bad people will turn it down and pay me to do it instead. :)

All clean, save for a little touch up (notice how she titled the last two pics ;) )

My folks BMW`s come back from the dealer EXACTLY like that after each service! I scrub down the tire with APC and hit the rocker panels / bumper with dilluted APC then re-wax.

Check out what the BMW dealerships body shop did to my car. This is what you get when you buy a 60K car.

Good ol` water based Armor All. I also have a new wheel dressing applicator that a customer of mine`s company makes.

I`ll take some pics and post in the product discussion forum in a few. :)

Though I have never owned a BMW, I hope that someday that will change. I have always admired them as the "Ultimate Driving Machine."

I can`t imagine a BMW dealership turning out something like that. The local Ford dealer where I bought my car does a way better job (though they know not to mess with my car).

I am not one to get on a soapbox, but that dealer is an insult to what BMW stands for.

The good news is that you are in the house, and all is good. I might have to go to Texas to see your work (and have some brisket).

Moe-for that particular dealership, that level of work is sadly typical. Job security for me though... ;)

I agree with Scottwax. I have had a couple friends buy cars from that dealership and they all seem to come out of there looking like they were detailed by a five-year old.

My guess was brake fluid.

Its a damn shame, but it keeps a lot of us in the "black".
