The owner is trying to sell this TA, so he wanted it cleaned up before hand. It is a 2001 Ram Air Trans Am with heads/cam/nitrous making in the neighborhood of 600 rwhp.

It was in desperate need of some attention. The paint was pretty heavily swirled and very gritty. *Lots* of stuff on the claybar. It didn`t turn out quite as well as I hoped, but I was working on a very tight schedule...still not too bad though. It was so cold when I started that sheets of ice were forming on the spoiler.

The lighting wasn`t the best, so the pictures aren`t my best.

Engine:

Optimum APC agitated with Meguiar`s spoke brush

Did the owner change his or her mind about selling?

Nice work!

By the looks of things in this picture, http://www.shineshoppe.com/pictures/DSC00707small.jpg

There are still some swirls in the paint. Time is a bad factor when it comes to detailing. :sadpace:

:werd: I hate having time limits or $$$ limits. I have a feeling Zane feels the same way too.

Given the limited # of steps and time, I think the car turned out terrific! :woot2:

Where? I`m not doubting that some remain. But given that direct sunlight, smaller than a pea, only hits the rear by the tail light from 10 feet away, how can you tell?

Circle the swirls that you see.

Awesome work Zane.

Zane: Exemplary work for the short number of steps used!

I know, first hand, how hard (pun intended) GM paint is to work with, especially black. To about 99% of people out there, that car is in *perfect* shape.

Yeah, I don`t know what the deal is with GM paint...not too much fun and ends up being about 75% of what I work on.

One of these days, I`m going to have to become proficient with that rotary-thingy :)
