Finally got around to taking some pictures. This car has been through a lot. Wetsanded it a few months back, stripped the paint off the wheels (and now I get to polish them every week), all sorts of fun. Everything I`ve learned about detailing I`ve learned on this.

DanoWatt,

Hard to believe that is a 16 year old car. Very nice work!

Yah really, that car is in exceptional condition for a 16 year old car, let alone a driver! You do a great job detailing it. How many miles?

Nice work :xyxthumbs

Did you apply the SRP and EGP by hand or buffer

Rotary with the #80, PC with the SRP and EXP, hand with the #26 and S100.

Forgot, I also had to use medium cut cleaner and DACP with the rotary on some trouble spots.

DanoWatt- That`s one *very* sharp W126 :xyxthumbs

I`m really  about how nice you`re keeping the un-painted wheels! Those are a royal pain to clean as it is, what with all the little slots; theyused to drive me nuts.

What procedure/products did you use to strip those wheels and what is your regular maintenance for them? I agree-cleaning those grooves takes a lot of time-I have been using a parts cleaner brush with some wheel cleaner to clean the car I work on.

Very nice I love the Euro headlamps... I have a 1990 350SDL myself that really needs to shine like that! Good job

Thanks everybody. For the wheels, just some soap and a lot of elbow grease. I`d like to get some new wheels (AMG Penta`s or monoblock aero 1`s) but since I`m starting this detailing business, that`s on hold. Neat thing is, I`m using this car to detail out of. I gutted the rear part of the interior, and I can easily fit all my supplies in there and the trunk (even room for a generator). Since I usually do waterless washes, don`t need to worry about a water tank. It`s very nice to roll up to a customers house in this, they usually expect me in some big van or pickup truck.

But I really do need to eliminate the speed holes under the headlights (where the headlight wipers used to be). Time to learn bondo.
