Why are you digging up the `60s as an example for the `00s? Surely there are better, more current examples.

Tom

Scott not surprised at all...just venting I guess.

My apologies Tom...she was just so blatant and anti-American that I had to remind the "younger" folk! As an aside though...I do think she respresents the 21st century "Hollywood Elite" to a T.

There are so many in Hollywood these days I do not know where to begin... ;)

Opinions are like a-holes, everyone`s got one.

They have the right to voice their opinions, but what they don`t realize is the more the puke up their arrogant drivel, the more they alienate themselves from the majority of Americans. The United States doesn`t revolve around California and NY City - there`s an entire "middle America." The sad thing is, they actually do more harm for their causes and serve up easy ammunition to conservatives to blast Hollywood`s liberal political buddies.

If Hillary gets the nomination, the DNC keeps on Howard Dean and Hollywood sticks it rear end into the political arena, you can hand the keys over to the Republicans for at least another 4 years.

Again, they have their right and it`s normal to disagree with government policy, but when you have these folks do it the way they do, they sound foolish. You do have some bright, insightful, educated on the subject individuals like U2`s Bono and the scholar Harry Belafonte (oops, did I just mention him?!)

But, regarding Fonda, she can rot in hell. She is right up there with Tokyo Rose and her treasonous escapades. The urinals at my buddy`s local VFW have images of Jane Fonda in the drain :p

Ah Hollywood...Why has it gone from ..[one set of values to another]...

Maybe because people share these people`s values, or at least aren`t so put off by them that they`d quit supporting them (via spending money ;) ). If I may be allowed to pull an example from some ancient Hollywood history, when Fatty Arbuckle got embroiled in a sex/death scandal, people boycotted his movies and his career was over. He stopped being "Hollywood elite" overnight.

If you don`t approve of somebody`s values/behavior, don`t buy their product. Such support keeps these people going and helps mainstream their values.

Agreed.

The issue of folks not realizing what these people so called "values" are or the consequences their actions and words have on this country (both domestically and abroad) is a whole other debate I care not to venture in.

Hypocrisy is a wonderful luxury.
