plastic runners are horrible

I bought a used Trailblazer and the dealership probably did their infamous 10 minute wax job before they hand over the keys... there is leftover wax on the plastic door guards that I can`t seem to get off now, any suggestions?

It`s hard to see on the pic but its on the door, just above the B in TrailBlazer:

Yeah, I can see it. I have removed lots of wax stains with Poorboy`s Trim Restorer. Apply it with a MF applicator and a little elbow grease, and the stains should come out pretty quickly.

I`d try the Trim Restore as well, but if for some reason it doesn`t work for you, I just ran across this product at Autogeek: http://www.autogeek.net/wax-remover.html I haven`t tried it myself, but it might be worth a shot.

I recommend Wax Blaster too.

Sometimes the wax stains can return after a while even with Trim Restorer. If you already have it, then give it a go, or Natural Look if you`ve got that.

Klasse All-In-One (AIO) might also be a solution.

I`ve had great success with trim restorer. I applied with a regular yellow foam applicator pad and the wax stains were gone. Don`t forget to thoroughly buff off the TR once your done. It has a knack for running when it gets wet when you dont.

Yeah, I`ve removed wax from plastic with AIO. It`s the only product I know that can be used both on paint and plastic. :xyxthumbs

The best product I have found is Autoglyms bumper shine, it is also a great exterior dressing

There`s many a thread on this subject in the archives.

Personally, I`ve never found anything better than Eagle A2Z wheel cleaner. It`s got a new name now, don`t know what it is.
