Wondering if anyone has tried these and if they would work for the static in MF.

Is that just a rubber ball with tips on it?

Best case, no difference at all. More likely it will make static buildup worse buy adding a new static generating material to rub on.

Don`t waste your money, this scam is as old as the hills. If nothing else they will cause damage to the fibers. Static will be present in man made fibers (polyester, etc.) and animal hair fibers no matter what you do. The best way to elininate static is to remove these items from the dryer before totally dry or to spray with a light water mist.

As DFTowel said, taking your MF`s out of the dryer while still slightly damp and hanging them on the wash line to finish drying will virtually eliminate static. This is what I do and it works great :)
