Yesterday I tried S100 for the first time. It was very easy to use, rivaling Paste Glaz. Went on smooth and wiped right off like nothing was there.

Underneath is AIO/UPPx2. I also did PwC Blue on the glass, 303 Wiper Treatment on the blades, and AIO on the trim. Tires have WG gel.

This morning I went out and tried the Sonus Ultra-Fine Clay, PO106FF via green Propel2 on 6, and Klasse SG. All of those were very easy to use as well. I applied the SG very thin of course, as many people have warned in the past.

Overall, the S100 was nice, but I`m still anxious to apply a fresh coat of Paste Glaz. I can`t wait for spring!!!

And BTW, the black thing on the roof is my XM antenna, safely positioned on top of a folded piece of clear plastic. :)

im confused.. you had aio/uppx2 on the car, and then you use 106ff on it and then straight to SG topped w/ s100? still looks good nonetheless, you`ll get plenty of looks driving down the road :D

oops, I forgot to mention that I only used the 106FF and the SG on the front left fender. It was just to test them out.

Tomorrow I`ll add IW845 to that fender, and the rocker panels.

Spring needs to roll around so you can get some actual wheels on that beast.

Oh and, needs more cowbell. :D

Ugh, that`s for sure. I was looking through folders of pictures from the summer, and it`s almost like my car is no more. It`s so different without those wheels on. :sadpace:

At least you have a garage to work in on your cold days, eh? :)

Car looks nice as always, even though cloudy days are not optimal for pics of silver paint. What did you think of 106FF?

i like the summer wheels better also. thought i think a darker shade of grey would`ve been better.

Yeah I definitely could have used some sunlight for better pics. But we`ve got sleet coming down at the moment, and clouds hanging around for several days. :(

The 106FF was easy to use, required very little product, and had a long working time. It left a nice finish by itself too. It`s always hard to really judge a product in the garage though, and I didn`t want to pull it out and back in a bunch of times, because the roof was dripping with melting snow. So each time I moved the car in or out of the garage, I`d have to try the car again.

And I didn`t want to do the work outside, because it was cold and breezy.

Beautiful car. I`ve got to get some wheels. At least down here they stay on year round.

Definitely. The wheels make such a huge improvement. Mine were only $396 for the set. I ordered the tires and wheels from http://www.tirerack.com, so mounting and balancing were included at no charge. The total cost for 4 wheels (ASA JS1) + 4 tires (Kumho Ecsta SPT) + mounting/balancing + McGard locking wheel lugs + shipping was $744.05.

You can go to TireRack`s site at look at every wheel they have...on YOUR car. You can browse through their selection and see what each wheel would look like. As I recall though, they didn`t have the option to use a silver 99 Protege. :( They had 5 colors to choose from I think.

I still wonder what 16s would have looked like though...

LOL

How did you like the SG? Was it easy for you to apply/remove?

BTW car looks great as usual. Better than mine right now. :(

Pontman, the SG didn`t give me any problems. I applied it very thin, and misted the pad with 4* UGE first. It spread easily, and I couldn`t even see the product on the paint unless I put my 500W halogen right up next to the paint. I let it sit for about 20 minutes, and it wiped off with little to no effort. Now I`ve got Collinite 845 over the SG. That isn`t a nice-smelling wax like I`m used to. :(
