Guys,

I detailed my car several months ago. The last step product was KSG (2 layers). Now I am getting ready to detail my car for the second time (got some scratches etc).

Should I proceed with polish once the car has been washed and clayed or use AIO first to prep the paint (remove KSG) and then go ahead polishes? I`ll be using SOnus SFX2 and SFX 3 polishes.

You don`t need to do AIO before polishing, those polishes will cut right through the SG.

Well, I *sorta* agree ;)

If the polishing goes well (try a limited area) then yeah, just polish away the SG on your way to getting at the marring. But if you find your polish is gumming up and/or forming a hard to remove residue, then stop and get the SG off first. I`ve had this happen a few times, but only when I had more SG on there than I think you currrently do and only when using mild polishes.

And I`d strip the SG with rubbing alcohol instead of wasting AIO on that job.

Thanks for replies.

Just out of curiosity: would Sonus Paintwork Cleaner remove SG as well? It`s supposed to be a chemical cleaner....
