    Exclamation Alternative to HD Adapt

    Hello!

I loved this stuff and they discontinued it! I`m looking for something similar that is easy to use (I`m not that good with my porter cable but can get the job done). Adapt gave me the exact results I wanted, with very little dusting and I didn`t have to buy another polish to use after using Adapt.
Got any ideas on alternatives? I don`t have the time or desire to polish my car 3 times over with different products before I apply my sealant and wax. Plus my paint is in very good shape, as in limited swirls etc.

    Thanks in advance!

If your vehicle is in good shape I HIGHLY recommend HD Polish+

I use it with an orange buff and shine pad and it provides a flawless finish and is more than capable of removing light swirls. Plus it is way easier to work with and remove than HD Adapt

I`ve enjoyed using Sonax EX 04-06 as a very versatile one-step polish.

Use an orange pad to remove moderate swirls and scratches, or a white pad if your paint just needs a little touch up prior to applying your chosen LSP.

    Either way it finishes excellent.

Not much product is needed, no dusting issues, long working time, trim friendly... there is nothing not to like with this polish.

Agreed with the posts on HD Polish. If you`re paint is in really good shape, you shouldn`t need anything with a lot of cut ability anyway

    Meguiar`s M86 So1o.

Gets great results with a d/a, and is very versatile. Stronger than M205, and not a cleaner wax, but a true abrasive polish.

How about Griots Correcting Cream--has the same cut rating as Adapt. Although I haven`t had a chance to try it yet reports are that it finishes very well, long working time, no dust and easy to remove.

    Re: Alternative to HD Adapt

I have used Griots Correcting Cream, as mentioned it finishes down well as a one step, but this depends on the paint.
Not sold here but Scholl Concept s20 black is also a great one step.
I just read Mike Philips review on Sonax Cut and Finish which also looks like a great one step. NEW SONAX Cut & Finish - Extreme Showcar Makeover - Removing Holograms using the FLEX 3401

If your paint is in good shape, youd probably be fine with a finishing polish mentioned above like HD Polish or Boss Perfecting Cream. No need to go aggressive unless you really have to.

What about just using a glaze like PB Black hole prior to wax/ sealant if your paint is in great shape and you are just looking to fill some very minor defects?

    Re: Alternative to HD Adapt

If you want similar cut and finish as HD Adapt, take a look at 3D AAT Finishing Polish. If you want just a little less cut but still easy to use, go with HD Polish+. As stated above, if you don`t plan to use a ceramic coating then go with HD Speed.

    Re: Alternative to HD Adapt

Several different options based on the desired goals. So many people have had incredible results using HD Speed. And now with 3D AAT Correction Glaze (which has more cut than Speed) it might be a must try too. Both Speed and AAT CG produce exception gloss while correcting some pretty severe swirls. Add a coat of POXY on top and you`re good to go for an even longer while. Another option that would be just like Adapt (as rwright mentioned) would be 3D AAT Finishing Polish. Despite it being a finishing polish, it`s designed to also have a pretty stout abrasive package. After all, it was created to remove wool pad buffer marks via rotary which speaks volumes. Like Adapt, it requires dialing in with the right foam pad and technique to insure the best result. But, it will get the job done very well.
