Who is the Board of Directors, etc., of some Detailing entity, Society of Detailers, etc. that recognizes and validates the Certification ?
What are the Standards set by the Detailer entity, and where are they posted please ?

I too have wondered about the certifying body. A bit of background on this group and standards would be helpful.

3D has been offering training courses for decades. It`s another way of giving back to our customers and making sure they not only understand how to use the products we sell, but also when, why and where to use them. Nobody is more qualified to provide this then the Pros at 3D. Their experience ranges from body shop, car wash, dealership, high volume & high end as well the formulation of chemicals. Basically the same people that are involved at the ground level of creating, testing and manufacturing our products are also helping train the people in our classes. There`s not many courses that are supported by such talent. And keep in mind that these classes are offered free of charge too.

David, that`s great. I have no doubt that 3D provides great training. I`m curious about the certification end of things simply because I`ve seen a couple of different attempts to start an organization that was recognized and had significant weight to influence customers. These attempts from the little I`ve seen, haven`t seemed to gain traction. Is the certification by way of 3D or are this part of a bigger plan?

As far as I know, there are no plans to grow this training beyond our customer base. We are basically trying to establish/teach a set of best practices that will serve our client`s needs. This is in no way like what the IDA is trying to achieve in case anyone is wondering.

Let me just reiterate what David was speaking about.

As the manufacture of 3D/HD Products, we are certifying that these students are competent in detailing vehicles with our products and know the best way to use them.

While our detailing clinics and and seminars are free, the two and four day courses are not. We are not in the business to make money off of detailing classes and charge just enough to cover the cost of the course. You will find our pricing much more reasonable than most detailing certification companies while you get similar training.

The success will speak for itself. The students leave competent that they can perform full detailing services. No certifying body is needed for that.
