Thumbs up HD Adapt, 57 Chevy - Review (Holiday Giveaway)

    57` Chevy and HD Adapt.

I`m gonna keep this one simple and let the pics speak for themselves.

I was not sure when I booked this car if it was two stage or single stage.
I figured HD Adapt is the perfect candidate. It works with both paint types.
Sadly, this thing looked like it had been washed 100 times with a Brillo pad.

    Simply put, I used a Rupes 21 with a 5" BP and a Carpro 5" Flash Pad.
I expected some "work" to clean it up but to my surprise it went quick.
All I can say about Adapt is WOW! It made short work out of correction.
On another note...No dusting! Adapt is like working with a buttery cream.

The finish was almost LSP ready. I followed HD Adapt with Carpro Reflect.
I used a Rupes 21 with a 5" BP and Lake Country Hydro-Tech Red foam.
Reflect gave it that extra clarity, sharpness and bright "jeweled" sparkle.

I`m looking forward to trying HD Finishing Polish to see how it compares.

    Epilogue:
IMHO Adapt has less cut than M101 but Adapt finishes down a little nicer.
The best part is ZERO dusting. It was a pure joy to work with. Thank You.

I give it a big thumbs up!

Stunning! Adapt seems like it might be a nice, less expensive substitute for FG400.

Wow that`s beautiful. I used Adapt nearly exclusively last season and can honestly say it`s the best 1 step polish I`ve ever used.

Looking great Merlin! I plan on using Adapt on my new Rupes 15 tomorrow and testing out my HD Poxy. I`ve done 2 corrections with Adapt so far and have loved it. Tomorrow will be on some hard Chevy clear so we will see how it stands up.

A couple of great classic red bow ties. Nice work on the old one.

Looks nice. Did you really do it all with the Rupes 21? There are lot of complex surfaces to cover.

    Excellent review!!

I`m so glad you liked Adapt! Try playing with different types of pads & work time/machine speed to see if you can get the desired cut with perfect clarity in the future. and don`t be afraid to use in out in the direct Florida sun as well.

Come to think of it you`re right...on sections of the hood, fins etc. I used a PC with a CarPro 3 1/2" Flash Pad and HD Adapt.
Followed Adapt with Carpro Reflect with a 4" CCS Red (no particular reason except it was handy, small, soft and I didn`t need to change the BP)

    I will thanks...this was my first "once-around-the-block". It`s a pleasure to use.

Actually I did. There is no better lighting than direct Florida sun. It is my best friend and biggest enemy. (SIGH)
