Im going to be using 3D polish on my Trans Am next week.` The surface is for the most part defect free - just some very`light random swirls from washing and using quick detailer for the past year or so.

    `

I do have white LC polishing pads.``I`m wondering if there might be any benefit to using`the LC Tangerine pads`for this application - or will the white LC pad`finish out just as good.

    `

I don`t want to have to buy any more pads if I don`t have to...

    `

    Thanks!

Hard to say without doing test spots, but I`ve had good success with both pads depending on the paint/amount of defects

I`m not too familiar with LC pads, however the one that is more aggressive may do a better job.`

    Hope this helps.`

The tangerine is an ultra-fine polishing pad made from hydro-tech foam. Hydro-tech does not like heat, more so than other foams. So, if you need to correct, go with the white, if not, then the tangerines. Remember, too much product inside of the pad increases heat. Clean your pads after each panel at least. Also, keep checking the center of the pad on the backside. This is where most of the heat will be stored.

What machine are you working with? It can make a big difference actually. Many people don`t think about doing test spots with their final polishes to see which pad will create the best outcome. Tape off a section and compare the differences in cut and finish with each pad. It could really surprise you.`
