best for a 1 step

Well I left BMW and went to an Audi dealership and the products they use there dont really seem ti be working well for me. We get paid book time. In other words we get paid 4 hours for a "full detail" no matter if it takes 2 hours or 8 hours to do. Only way of getting decent results is by using wool pad heavy compound then foam pad and finishing compound. Well that will take to long and I wont make any miney doing it that way. So I decided I am gonna start using my own products. I have HD Cut HD Polish and HD Adapt. Which would get me the best results on Audi paint? Also what pad would you recommend. This is done with a Makita rotary. Thank you in advance

Personally I would do cut and speed on the bad cars and just speed on ones that need a quick touch up.

Again I`ll echo what Dan mentioned. HD Speed with an aggressive pad for the not as bad ones and then HD Cut or Adapt on the ones that need to get hit in the head. Pads are really gonna depend on the paint and your technique.`

You really need to check out HD Speed. It`s 75% HD Polish and 25% HD POXY. It can give some pretty decent correction, but the biggest thing is that is is super easy to use and leaves behind enough protection behind that will suffice for the dealer lot.`

I will have to play with Adapt some more. Not had a lot of time with it. Still need to learn its work habits. Last time I used it was at BMW and once car got in sun it looked bad. But I blame that on myself. New product new learning curve. Any advise for using Adapt as a 1 step polish? Keep in mind I am using a Makita rotary not a DA

None of the HD polishes fill so what you see is what you get compared to the majority of other products. That said its hard to say without an accurate description of the BMW. Any heavy damage is going to need two steps or something that fills like crazy.

I agree with Dan, if it`s heavily damaged, you may be best to use a two-step. As far as pad, you could go with a 5" or 6" black lambswool cutting pad for heavy damage, to get the job done with less time. You could purchase that on 3Dproducts.com

Well I used the Adapt today on a Silver Audi A4 I know light color can`t really see much. But it seemed to have worked well. Also used it on trunk lid of a gray S5 after using HD Cut and a wool pad. That turn out flawless. I used green edge light polishing pad for both cars and ran the makita at 900rpms. Slower than I normally do. Think I found the trick. Tomorrow I got a black i believe A6. Guess that will be the real test

HD Speed can do an impressive amount of correction if its used with a good pad.
