Wife applied it to our new outdoor furniture after watching the HD video. She said she applied an adequate amount. The horz section had it applied to the top side and the vert both sizes. Looks like it needs another application:

Plan on using this on clothing and shoes. How does it fair under normal washing of clothing? How long is it expected to last?

Used it on Alcantara and it`s working great.

Good question. Not sure how long it would last under those applications. It`s supposed to typically last anywhere between 60-120 days. Keep in mind that there are alot of variables that play into the longevity of these types of protectants. Abrasion and chemicals are their achilles heel which means it may last longer on the driver`s seat then the passenger`s. It`s also recommended to reapply the protectant after cleaning.

A helpful tip would be to apply the product to a clean, dry surface. After the initial coat, rub/push the product into the surface with either a rubber glove or a soft bristle brush then reapply another thin coat. It will create a much stronger layer.

Just wanted to do a quick update. Finally had a great chance to use HD Fabric Protector a few days ago and it did not disappoint.

Had a beautiful Corvette that the owner said is one of only 40 its kind. I cleaned the fabric top with Raggtopp cleaner, then applied the HD Fabric Protector once it had dried. An hour or more later I did a water repellency test and the water just rolled off the fabric top. I will be getting this car back again in a few months for Opti-Coat so I will be able to judge the durability at that point. Here is a link to my Facebook page. If you scroll down a bit you can see a pic of the Corvette.

Nice work! Depending on how it was applied, it may not hurt to put down an additional coat to tighten up the film build and extend the performance. I personally always instruct people to do 2 coats, working the 1st one into the fabric.
