So far the only 3D protectant I`ve tried is Ultra Protectant which I found to be excellent on tires. I`m looking for the best product to restore faded plastic trim. I like the versatility (and price) of Magic Blue compared to Trim Care Protectant, but what is the better product for what I`m trying to do?

Both dry to the touch, are not greasy and are long lasting. Magic Blue is a solvent based tire dressing, but doubles as a great trim protectant (among other uses). If you`re looking for a dedicated trim protectant, I`d go with Trim Care Protectant Car Trim, Bumper, Rubber Molding Protectant/Restorer - Trim Care 16oz

Thanks David, I think I`m going to give Magic Blue a try if it`s almost as good on trim as Trim Care Protectant.

Ok. I`m sure you`ll be happy regardless. Alot of detailers want 1 product that can serve multiple purposes. Please let us know your thoughts on Magic Blue! Especially the smell....

Just to follow up, I ended up getting Magic Blue and Trim Care Protectant. The Magic Blue seems to do really well on rubber trim and a little bit seems to go a long way, and yes the smell is very pleasant. For me, the Trim Care Protectant seems to do a better on faded plastic trim than Magic Blue.
