I am wondering if HD Speed would be the right product to use for a light polish job on my Opti-Coated car? Obviously, I want to remove as little OC as possible, while getting rid of some minor marring.

I think that wOuld be a fine choice or you could use HD Polish. I`d make sure to use them with a very light polishing pad or even a finishing pad to ensure you don`t remove too much OC.

I`ll probably do the same thing next spring.

Thanks for the replies! Figured I`d start with a finishing pad and see how that worked. My other choices were Po85rd and Optimum Finish. Of these three products, I still have no idea which has the least cut.

Speed certainly has more cut that 85rd and Optimum Finish.

I`d probably do test sections with each and see which gives the result you`re after. I always like to KNOW I`m getting the desired result by comparing products and techniques rather than just figuring what I`m doing is best.

Don`t use a AIO, no matter what the brand is, before applying a coating.

Optimum Poi-Seal and GPS are great options. Haven`t tried Speed yet.

OP was actually wanting to use it to remove swirls from the OC itself, not before applying.
