Just give me a well built machine like my Dewalt and Makita Rotary and I don`t need a warranty.

I`m on 3d website under polishers/machines, the 3d polisher is only 40$ and the other options are 150-200$ like PC7424...

Is the 3d machine not a replacement for a PC7424? I thought it was suppose to be better, if it is great, but for 40$?

    Thanks

    No it is not.

The 3D polisher is a DA PC machine. The $40 polisher is a rotary machine. Very different.

i agree completely - When it comes to warranties, I can`t help but think of the movie "Tommy Boy":

"But why do they put a guarantee on the box?"

"Because they know all what they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of s#!%. That`s all it is, isn`t it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer`s sake, for your daughter`s sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me."

    sorry, just had to.....

Only problem with that logic is I could turn around and make the generalization "the longer the warranty, the crappier the tool."

I bought a G100A (PC7336SP) from Meguiar`s way back in 2001 with a lifetime replacement warranty, and I still have and use that machine today. It`s getting tired now, sure, but it still works. If it ever does finally die, I can send it in and get a brand new G110v2 (or whatever they come out with next) without any hassles.

You could care less about the warranty, but for the more conscious consumer the warranty makes the difference when purchasing tools/electronics. most of us would consider a lifetime warranty means that the company stands behind their product. Its especially important when the products are being made in china, is your Dewalt or Makita made in china?
