What did they say the warning was for? Was it AG or ACC? That you could not post HD products on the site. I think that is wrong. Post what you want. Thomas-I am not for any sensorship of any kind. if it would make the news it is good with me.

If you remember you and I went a feww threads on the pushing of HD/3D and this was before this thread was born. It is just how I felt and it really turned me off to the whole line. I was offered a few free products and right now I am focusing on coatings. Please know that nothing at all was ever personally directed at you. I really liked your work on the 911, the white M you posted and the orange Camaro....?

Not quite sure what Bob`s issues are with you but I am my own guy and I enjoy your posts. I also enjoy Bob`s posts and he had been very helpful to me.

Off site is the only way I will or can do anything in regards to head-to-head stuff at SEMA.

At SEMA, I am under the guise of Ford and Meguiar`s. Although I am not an employee of either company, I am being paid to be there, and look the part. There`s NO WAY I will risk the "photo-op" in a competitor`s booth (I pass by many cool cars & neat items when I`m in uniform... It`s simply out of respect for the brand).

I certainly don`t mind stopping by to say hi, introduce and meet people, etc. But I am aware of where I`m standing and what the perception might be.

Besides- to me, SEMA is NOT the place where "battles" should occur (at least not during convention hours). The amount of money spent by exhibitors is staggering, and that money was spent to raise awareness of the brand in a positive way,and to gain new customers.

I`ve even had occasion where I`ve mentioned prior to visiting a booth that I will not "go there" in terms of discussion or debate, as I cannot and will not do that while representing another company. Of course, word got back to me that I wouldn`t "engage" and that I sat there like "a lump on a log".

Tsk-tsk. The carnage would have been impressive, but I could not "go there".

Anyway, I hope there`s a few dukem` out polishing sessions, and I`d enjoy being a part of that. Just not on the convention floor.

AG - about mentioning products they don`t sell. To be fair, they didn`t remove the thread. So from now on, I will just post the process and not the products if I use 3D stuff.

I think that may have to do with them thinking you still work for 3D HD.

Perhaps they think they might think your exit was more marketing than fact ? (Like you still work there but are saying you left so you can push the stuff without looking like an employee)

I posted EXO long before thy carried it and no issue was made.

    Who knows.......

Excellent point and is very well received. I actually spoke to Kevin at lenght about this "Challenge" today and I totally get the notion to keep the drama away from the booth and behind closed doors. If anyone can think of a way to get a group of people together to have a little fun, I`d be all in. Because I`ve never been to SEMA before, I don`t know the parameters that are available to get this done, but I`m all ears. Maybe in someone`s hotel room? Kevin`s got some test panels so that would probably be covered?

I`ll talk to Tunch and see what is possible at the Autopia/3D after party on Thursday.

It`s too bad not everyone shares that value, or appreciates it for what it is, courtesy. I`ve had people say what I`m doing can`t work in spite of the fact that they were too far away to see if it was working or not and before the demonstration was even really started. You`ve seen that I`m sure. Rude and un-appreciated.

As far as polishing sessions, me too.

I talked to Kevin about trying to find someone with a suite or using a conference room for an hour at one of the hotels were we can setup some test panels and a bunch of us just play with machines, pads, and compounds. It would awesome to see how other pros use machines, different techniques, product choices, etc. It is probably too late to get this setup, but maybe. Who knows. If this goes down please by all means let me know
