Now lets keep in mind that while polishes do help make a difference. 90 percent of what we do is experiance and knowledge. I personally think any talented detailer can make a car look great with whatever chemicals or liquids they are challenged with. Now I am being flown out to host this detailing seminar. While Im there I will be fully loaded and ready to stand behind 3D`s HD UNO. So if its a challenge some one wants " In the words of the Rock! " Just Bring it " <---- I mean that in a very nice way. Do not take that cocky!

:director: Hey BuffDaddy do you care to bring it? :fencing:

True....but that doesn`t mean I don`t want a free trip to go head to head with other top detailers.

Shall I bring two tubes of Colgate toothpaste and a pair of handheld electric mixers?

Wrap the beaters with a couple 1970`s John McEnroe headbands....

Turn that mutha into a Cyclo of sorts.

90% is a bit high... :nerd: "Paint polishing is a craft, not an art."

If I do attend, I`d rather be a nice guest. Never used 3D, don`t know anybody at 3D. Never been the type to puff the chest out as a guest in someone`s home or anywhere else.

It might be nice to meet some people though. Glad-hand, listen, learn some stuff. See how the East-Coast guys do it.

Besides- I`m a bit rusty from sitting behind a computer for the past year and a quarter.

Now- if anyone wants to swing `em long & low...

I would really enjoy watching all the big-gun attendees show their talents in a blind test of sorts...

Unknown brand, unknown compound, unknown paint type, unknown machine (ahead of time). THEN perhaps we`re getting close to 90%!

Then we could see which among us were true artists. Err... craftsman.

Perhaps then my hand might slip and hit a buffer trigger...

If we had a contest to see who could write the longest post... I may have to step up to the plate. :hifive:

That would be a fun contest. Get some of those really old and nasty cutting compounds that used to be around. I am sure we could find some old formula online somewhere and wip up a nasty batch.:think2

Only a master detailer would survive!

Your more than welcome to come out Kevin. If its just for the party or both. If you take the 126, can be here in about 2 hours.

You ought to talk to Joe Fernandez... he made up some "compound" out of a mixture of corn meal and kerosene once (I think that`s what it was?) and used it on a panel with old single stage lacquer paint.

Personally, I would like to see a shootout INCLUDING guys from other companies.

Not necessarily at any one manufactures facility... Just thinking out loud.

But 3D thought of it. I applaud the challenge, nonetheless. Kudos.

Can you better clarify the statement, "You may not be affiliated with the products you are putting against HD UNO"?

    Are there other stipulations?

    Rotary or random orbital okay?

Magic Elixers or Super Stealth pads allowed? Customized machines?

    And on video, too!:2thumbs:

How fun and exciting this could be! :woot:

    SEMA :bump:

Barry wanted my to ask if any of the Meg`s guys are willing to bring their magic elixers over to the 3D booth this year for a little :waxing::fencing::whip:

Barry, with what they`ve got coming, it would likely blind you. I couldn`t cope with that level of guilt.

I think Barry is 1/2 blind already. I think a mini challenge would be fun! Heck, Robert can bring his line over too! :
