My sample of HD Free arrived in a well packed box with the concentrate and handbook all in perfect shape. The bottles were shrinked wrap, too, which is a nice way of insuring a leak free delivery.

The test vehicle is my 1995 Impala SS with 188k miles on it. It is a sunny day driver with some occasional track days on the road course. The car is used and used hard. I started with about a week`s worth of daily driving dust and bugs. There was some tree droppings or bug crap dots on the car, too.

*Disclaimer* This was my first attempt at a `waterless` wash system, and I was a little skeptical of any waterless products. I made sure to use a thorough amount of product and several towels. The car hasn`t seen a buffer in about 18 months, so I was okay with any light swirls, as it is probably time for a once over. The wife took the good camera, too, so I had to use the my old one.

Here is what I started with, the HD Free, Eurow shag towels, and Viking green towels.

I started with the Eurow towel and sprayed each panel one at a time, let it sit for a bit, then carefully wiped the panel with the towel. Flip the towel and buff with the clean side. HD Free uses a great bottle and sprayer with a pleasing scent. It reminded me of a fancy hand soap.

    Dirty towel

Half of the roof wiped down

It went pretty good, and rather quick. I started with the sides of the car from the belt line up, then the top sides, then the bumpers, then finished with the rocker panel area.

Here is what was used to complete the car, but not the wheels or door jambs.

    Some after pictures.

    Final impressions.

I really like the product, but it will not replace my pressure washer, foam gun, and buckets! It also took nearly half a bottle to do my car, so maybe with some bulk product and practice, I can do it more economically. :nixweiss I plan on taking the HD Free with on trips or overnight car shows and track days where a quick wash is wanted. My fears of horrible scratching and marring are eased, as the HD Free worked just as advertised and I couldn`t find any marks at all from the wash. Looking back, I wish I had this product for the Harley`s and the leaking top street rods. Now I am looking forward to trying the rest of the HD line if the products are as good as this one.

Thanks again for the sample and letting my test the `waterless` waters HDCC. :woot2:

    Randy

PS: Comments and constructive criticism welcome, as I am a newb to the waterless world. I really want to try ONR now.......

    Randy,

Thank you for doing such a thorough write-up and review. Glad to read that your first time out going water[free] was positive. :up
