Have a great polishing holiday everyone!!
I am a body shop and strictly work on fresh paint. I`ve tried SystemOne
a few years ago. It`s a decent middle polish but certainly not enough
to remove 1500 efficiently nor finish down very well. The UNO is making
similar claims. Another one shot wonder? I`m very skeptical. I must try it.
Gotta help stimulate the economy so i`ll buy it when available.
*Don`t see the professional line on the site? Hurry up! I`m ready already.
Imagine how this product could be like a nuclear bomb in the body shop industry !!! Anyone thinking about joining the HDCC Sales Team better consider all the body shop market share that`s ripe for the pickings if this product works as claimed....Bye Bye 3M :wavey

We did a test in several shops giving them UNO with no color as the cutting compound and UNO with light gray color as the polish. They loved it.
This product went through another round of testing this week in a body shop to verify the recent change in abrasives. According to the technician, it worked perfectly on single day old paint with wool to cut and foam to polish.
For most detailers and enthusiasts, there will never be a need to use wool with this polish.
I`m okay with anyone being skeptical. I have worked with it myself for hours to identify the best pad material for the enthusiast/detailer market. I have tried the combination on a range of paint types and conditions. To date, I have not found anything else that cuts as well (without scouring), and finishes to near perfection in 80% of the cases (single pad, single polish).
Now, I`m not foolish enough to stand up and say "works in every circumstance and on every type of paint", because there are too many variables. What I will say is that this is the easiest and most versatile system I have ever used.
I want the 10 testers who get it to smack it around and put it to the test as I have.
Most shops finish sand with 1500 and attempt buff with 3M products.
This is pretty much SOP and, as we all know, the results are usually
poor. This particular area is where shops can lose a lot. And i have
in the past... Part of the reason why i joined this forum was to become
more efficient at this final stage. And i have.
In my mind, i want the UNO to cut as good as M105 and finish down like
Ultrafina or FPII. It`s asking a lot, i know.
According to the technician, it worked perfectly on single day old paint with wool to cut and foam to polish.
That`s my plan too. On both hard and soft clears.

Since neither SystemOne nor Norton Liquid Ice is popular in this industry.
The UNO will have to be considerably better - or better marketed. If it is
really good, then 3M might just buy HDCC. Think Meguiars.

I can say I am following this with a great deal of interest, its to bad that I missed out on the testing. I am eagerly awaiting the results
To all HD UNO testers, there is going to be a couple day delay getting the samples out. HD UNO itself is available, but we had a 5 day delay in receiving the pads and applicators from our new supplier.
If you are one of the testers and have not PMed me your mailing address. Please do so.
Make the subject line: HD UNO Tester Address
Thanks!
No worry on the delay, I need to polish my car though. LOL its killing me.
