My polish is on the truck out for delivery and I can`t wait. Maybe I missed this somewhere but what pad would you recommend using a Flex 3401 with this polish while we wait for Flex specific pads?

The foams are PERFECT with HD UNO
The V9 burgundy foam makes UNO come alive on the Flex. You`ll think you`re working with a rotary.

Well just had to drop in and say with a Flex 3401 and Meguiars W8207 polishing pad, the polish is impressive to say the least. Far more user friendly than M105. I just had time to do a small section on the hood of an `06 Sunset Red Pearl Metallic Nissan Murano I just bought that is in bad need of a good polish job. I used 4 dime sized dots on pad (way too much as was previously stated "use less, do more") and worked about 1/4 of the hood with Flex on 4 (should have used 6). Had a helluva time removing polish and had to use QD to help remove. I went back over the same area again using only the polish left on pad and polished on speed 6 until almost polished dry. WOW!!! It`s probably 97% perfect and definitely LSP ready. Can`t wait to do the rest. This is going to be fun!!!:woot2:

David, Can we use this with LC pads? Will we still have great results?
It is not worth doing unless you do it right

UNO likes a pad thickness from .75" to 1". On PC/PCXP/G110/UDM, UNO likes a pad between 5.75" and 6". On the Flex 3401 and rotary tools, UNO likes a 7" pad. The only wool pad on the market I recommend is the Meguiar`s Solo Light Cutting Pad:

I was kind of confused by you saying they are a bust but saying UNO likes a 1" thickness and a 5.75" pad. If the CCS pad is 1" thick and 5.5"...will it work?
So are the flat LC pads good to use?
Thanks,

Flat LC pads are fine.
The CCS face does not help UNO. UNO likes em flat! None of the fancy stuff.

The UNOPAD is slightly less aggressive than the the LC orange foam. The LC yellow is almost identical to the Meguiar`s burgundy... it`s quite a bit more aggressive than both of the orange formulas.
thanks...I can`t wait to try it. I just spent 7 hours with a friend polishing my Black GMC Denali. I am going to try UNO with my wife`s Grand AM.

I compared the uno pad and a 5.5" orange autogeek pad. Those that you can buy in a 6 pack. The uno pad clearly worked better. m2c
Ok David my package arrived today. Can`t wait to try it out. To bad my main test bed had to be done last week and was sold the day after . It was a prime canvas to test this out on. Stay tuned .

So just to be clear. Regular flat 6" LC pads like the ones I bought from Detailed Image will work with UNO on a Flex DA. Correct or no?
