making carbon fiber look its best...what to use??

I have no idea about polishing, maintaining, protecting carbon fiber.....is it the same as paint? or are there other products that I HAVE to use because its not paint? if so, what products do you recommend/get good results with....keeping in mind this will be keeping up a honda show car with a carbon fiber interior and hood and hatch.....thanks



oh and do I apply it just like polishing/waxing/claying a typical car?
 
CF is usually gelcaoted or cleared. Treat it like any other paint, EXCEPT that if it's gelcoated, you can generally be more agressive because of the hardness of the material.
 
Carbon Fiber hoods are weird. On mine I can never ever get the scratches out. I don't know if they are buried under the clear/gel coat or what, but I could polish for days and never ever get the scratches out. I've given up getting them out and just try to hide them.
