I have assembled what I think I need to correct the marring on my Black M35X. I just finished the prep. My car (exterior) has never been cleaner! Washed it to the MAX started at 6 PM finished at 8:30 PM. Will QD in the AM to remove any dust and jump into correction. Do I need to clay before i correct. My car passes the baggie test, but I supose i have a weeks work to "stuff" on the paint. I cannot feel contaminants at all but under the halogens i see some "dots". Cant feel them. If I correct over these will I cause more damage?

I am toast, i hope I get some answers as I plan on hitting the car at 7:30 AM with SMR and Orange Pad, followed by Final Spray polish with a white pad and topping with Ultima. Then doing a coat of Rejex on the exhaust tips and wheels.

Interior on Sunday, another quick wash and re coat Paint Guard Plus. Then wash wifes car. Do my interior and REST.

How do you guys get camers to focus on paint. Mine keep hunting for focus? Tried to get some gefore shot, not so good!

I hope the polishing goes smoothly.

Good Night All.

By now you've probably either clayed or polished, but I'd clay it first. Not claying won't result in damage, but it might make it harder to get the "dots" off later. OR...they might come off with the polish and no worries :nixweiss

Thanks for the tip. You may be right, i did not clay b/c the surface was slick and smooth after i did the baggie test. I cleayed the fromt nose cone and 15" up the hood just for good measure. Clay was really clean. I polished using the SRP from 4 star Products. Got out 95% of the nonsense on the first pass. Did it again and under the halogen it look clear. I will wait for the Sun to come up here before I pat myself on the back. i did the hood and front fender only. i messed these areas up last weekend. i did not want to go any further until I know it look mint in the sun!

Thanks!
