Scratches... I think

Hi I'm relatively new here. I just registered, but I've been reading around the forums and the how-to's for the best way of detailing my car.



I got into a little parking accident at my house today, and I seemingly scratched off some of the paint/clearcoat off my new tsx. And since my car is black coloured, the scratches show up clearly.



Now I need some of your expert advice on how to undo my mistake. I didn't find a how-to on removing scratches and I'm not sure if these are scratches or soemthing worse.



Help is very much appreciated.

If this question has been asked already, could someone kindly point me onto the correct thread?



They look like heavy scratches and it seems like a chip when I run my fingernails along it

Unfortunately you will have to repaint. Those look mighty deep and are into the primer. (unless that is paint transfer from what you hit) If you can catch your fingernail in them, they are too far gone. Sorry.

It's hard to tell how deep they are. But Meg's ScratchX would probably be your best bet for working them by hand.
