Hand Applied Swirl Remover?

Is there such a thing? I have access to a machine polisher but I'd rather do it by hand if possible. I understand to remove the swirls you need some speed/pressure but I'm just wondering. I've used Megs "paint cleaner" but wasn't too impressed with the results, and it says to apply by hand.

I just detailed my neighbors H3 and he overpaid me $30 and is bringing me his wifes car because he was so impressed by the work I did:spot. So I know I have everything down good, except for the swirl removal, Help me :thx.

Why would you rather do it by hand? A PC is very easy to use and will open up a world of improvement for you and your customer. You get 1000% better results and its 1000% easier. :waxing:

Meg's Paint Cleaner is just a paint cleaner. It has no abrasives. Get a proper swirl remover and use it with your random orbital.

If he's referring to the Deep Crystal Step #1, it *does* contain some very mild, diminishing abrasives. But yeah, it's far too mild for real correction.

Back to the original Q...for working by hand I'd recommend 1Z polishes. Period. Can't recall anybody trying them by hand and not being happy with the results. You can even do serious correction using the Ultra/Extra, if you have the time and determination (lots and lots of both ;) ). You could always use it by machine too...anything that works by hand will work by machine.
