What do you use to wash the undercarriage behind your wheels?

A cup of laundry detergent in a 1 gallon sprayer works pretty well. You might pose the question to a member here that seems to know everything except how to spell. I believe his name is Queerky Dude.

I don't recommend Megs products all too often so this feels ....funny

Megs Super Degreaser sprayed in and rinsed off

Megs APC sprayed in and rinsed off

or a tire shine

works for me on my personal car...its too low to get a brush back in there

though it does get expensive at $5 a bottle, this works very well on both wheels/rims (make sure yours are suitable) and wheel wells...

hahaha, holy crap thats funny. :rofl

I like to use Megs APC+ cut 4:1 if its needed in the wheel wells but it wont do much unless you scrub some. Usually I use an old cheap sponge that was bought just for things like that.

I too find some degree of mechanical agitation necessary, even on the garage queens. I usually use the Quickie glassware sponge mop (beware the bare metal core!) and/or my smaller BHBs.

On beaters I use diluted APCs, but on most of our vehicles I use a stronger-than-normal shampoo mix.

Be careful when rinsing these areas out; products can migrate to seams from which they can then seep out onto the exterior paintwork of the vehicle, potentially compromising your LSP. The gaps between the rear quarter panels and the rear bumper cover come to mind.

to clean i go with apc cut 4:1 as well and let it sit there a minute. I have also had some luck with Megs Body Solvent and letting it sit there a minute, but it really makes a greasy mess.

DP Cleanse-All is also a strong exterior cleaner. Great for the undercarriage and wheel wells.

On my personal ride, i use a degreaser (purple power) diluted 4:1 for most applications. If there is an excessive amount of gunk/buildup, i'll use it 2:1 or FS. Actually, I use it in the inner fender wells and agitate with a wheel brush, it works great for me.

I always use eagle one tire & wheel cleaner with good resuls.

I remember time ago i saw pictures of someone's datail work on a PT Cruiser, and he used a product that literally ATE UP all the dirt on the wheel wells ... i remember he mentioned the name of the product but i can't recall it right now ...

do a little search in the forum , you might find it ...
