Red machine glaze and Zaino?

Anyone ever used the clearkotte red machine glaze followed by Zaino (The show car polish) if so how did it work out? I have both and am thinking of trying it on my black mustang.

Isn't Red Machine Glaze oil based? If so, I would imagine the oils will negatively affect Zaino's bonding. Generally a wax needs to be used over an oil based glaze.

I tried it using Menzerna Final Touch Glaze (very similar to RMG), and the Zaino pretty much fell off the paint in about two weeks. It just won't bond to the paint over the oils of the glaze.

Hello!

As everyone has said RMG wont work.

I have been using glazes for a long time, including todays new polymer glazes such as Prima Amigo etc.

I have also been using Zaino for atleast 3 yrs as well. My honest answer is straight up Zaino is better. Things like DWG and CG EZ glaze tend to darken the paint to much before Z5 or Z2 and leave such a faux wet finish with little attention to the original colours of the paintwork.

Hello

Your 476 will be fine as nubas just sit over the surface and the RMG will fill the paintworks pores.

845 IMO is fine too, done that combo alot, esp. on wheels on my Cobra. How ever some disagree.

Darn. i just detailed my car using RMG with Z2, I wish i read this thread before the weekend.. Will 845 or 476 bond with RMG ?

Thank you in advance.

You may want to go over your car with an All-In-One, a paint cleaner or a pure polish to clean off the RMG and Z2. Then you can either 1) use just Z2 or 2) use RMG with 845 or 476 on top of that.

thanks to all that replied to my question.. an update, KAIO last night and applied RMG again with 476 as a topper.. I received the RMG as a gift and never used and decided to test it out a month agao and I was impressed with the ease of application, removal and the final finish..

Thank you again.

Hello!

Glad it worked out for you! You will even better results if you ditch the AIO products. Put simply the oil based glaze should sit in the tiny pores in your paintwork.

The AIO has sealed the surface of the paintwork so mostly buffed the RMG off as a red dust, a small portion of it has filled the tiny impefections and holes in the top layer of RMG.
