here are a few vids to give you the idea...

after seeing those, read everything you can on Autopia...download the e-book...then get to work. :)

edit: i see you said you read everything you can...here is an example of a porsche i started working on tonight. as you can see by my autopian account sign up date (7/30/06)...i'm a newb and never heard of autopia until early July this year from a different (non-detailing) website. i have been using the PC w/ LC pads for about 6 weeks. i think i am improving dramatically each vehicle i do...

this passenger door on the dark blue porsche had terrible swirls and a few straight scratches. i used an orange LC w/ DACP on speed 3-4 to spread the product...then 5-6 to work it in...then wipe away. i have not yet gone back over the area with a polish to finalize the finish...this is only after one pass of DACP.

pressure used for swirls was barely more than the weight of the PC itself...just enough to keep the pad flat on the surface. for tougher scratches i use slightly more pressure, but am very cautious of too much since that will cut into your pad and/or create too much heat at higher speeds and potentially damage the backplate.

I am getting a Dewalt DW443 and am in the same boat. I agree the site that paradigm linked to is one of the best I have come accross.

autopia has amazing articles...if you haven't checked them all out, please give them a look. click on the "Learn" link at the top of the page. great stuff!
