Vader, your Maserati has been zainoed, my lord.

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
Pininfarina did an amazing job designing this vehicle. It is gorgeous and looks good from every angle, truely a work of art. Of course a Ferrari F430 dervived 400 horsepower V-8 doesn't hurt either!!!

I apologize for the lack of before or during photos. I was rushed because the customer was picking the car up and I only had about 3 1/2 hours to work on it, so I couldn't take photos. I kept thinking if Darth Vader had a car, this would be it. Also, the owner had installed a Tubi exhaust on this thing so it roared like a Ferrari racecar.

General Process

Wash with ONR (thanks Joshpta for turning me on to this), 2 bucket method.

Stoner's IG on Glass

Meg's Hotshine on tires

Meg's Hyperdressing 3:1 in wheelwells, engine compartment

Z10 on leather surfaces (entire interior pretty much)

Meg's NXT All Metal Polysh on Tubi Exhaust.

Paint/LSP

Menzerna 106ff (thanks gmblack3a) @ 1000 rpm with Meg's finishing pad

Z5pro X 2 (Zfx'ed) with Z6 wipedown after each coat

Z2rpo

CS (on rims also)

Z8 final wipe

Okay the only before/after photo I have.

Okay massive after shots (I finished on time and after the owner saw the car he was so blown away that he let me take tons of photos).

The Maserati features a Ferrari F430 engine tuned for more torque. A quick wipedown with Meg' Hyperdressing was all that was needed

Great job on a sweet car! Haha, I really like that picture with the card where it looks better in the reflection than in your hand. :grinno:

The Ferrari has a flat (180°) crank while the Maser uses a normal 90 degree one. So not entirely a Ferrari engine, because they share the raw casting of the block and the five main bearing architecture only.

Paint looks great though.

I gotta get me one of those! That Ferrari is unbelievable, I wonder what its worth! Mucho dinero

Sports Car Market > Profiles and Price Guide > 1958 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder LWB

According to this, about 1.2 mil

I know!!!! The heads are the same casting also, but feature smaller ports for better low speed torque.

:wow:  Amazing work Todd! the time limit you had on it, shows your workmanship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :2thumbs:
