Summary A MUST HAVE! (November 4, 2005)

Reviewer's Comments

I decided to give this QD a try after reading so many positive reviews. I ordered the gallon size and was surprised when I only received a few ounces. First thing that came to mind was that it spilled while in transit. But you have to fill it with water, I use distilled water, anyways I guess the reason CleaKoat does this is to save on shipping. This products works really really WELL. I use on windows, black paint, as a lube for clay...I'm even thinking of using it as a mouthwash. ITS A MUST HAVE....and it leaves your paint/windows streak free.

Summary My go to QD (April 18, 2005)

Reviewer's Comments

I found Quikshine at a small import performance shop a few years ago. It was the first Clearkote product I bought. I'd never even heard of Clearkote until I saw the QD at the store. I was out of Meguiars #34 and had a car to clay the next day so I picked up a bottle of Quikshine to try it out.

I had been a loyal #34 user for several years until I tried Quikshine. I was amazed how easily it went on and off, the decent cleaning ability and the slickness is terrific! It also slightly darkens the paint and does a great job removing drying streaks. Great on glass too and the beading effect lasts longer than RainX.

Quikshine has a very light lemony scent if you care about such things. The only slight drawback is the sprayer will put out a bit too much product if you squeeze fully. About halfway and the correct amount comes out.

Summary Quik Shine, Quick Results (February 20, 2005)

Reviewer's Comments

I love this product, after washing the car with Gold Class Shampoo, a quick spritz of QS is all that is needed to a pre-waxed surface to brink back the slickness and shine to a just waxed look.

My only gripe is the standard spray which deposites too much product. I have overcome this my decanting the QS into a mist spray bottle with a pump action nozzle, uses much less product than before.

Great stuff.

Summary Nicely 'tuned' (March 15, 2004)

Reviewer's Comments

Of all the Clearkote products I've tried, this is one of their better ones. It doesn't stand out, it's not groundbreaking... it just works. Perhaps its the oils that are giving it the shine, but at least it's not smeary or anything. It gets the job done. My only complaint is that it doesn't evaporate very quickly, making it harder to buff off on cooler days.

Summary The best, but not by much (February 6, 2004)

Reviewer's Comments

I've used the following Quick Detail sprays (and still have all of them but one), so I'm basing my findings on my previous experiences. While I may not have used as many QDs as some folks here, I would personally rate my QD experience level as "advanced". In alphabetical order:

•3M Perfect-It Gloss Enhancer
•Auto Magic #49 Body Shine
•Deep Reflections Quick Detail Spray (Local bathtubber)
•Duragloss 921 Fast Clean and Shine
•Eagle One Wet Wipe 'n Shine
•Eimann Fabrik Clear Pearl Instant Detail Spray
•Meguiar's#34 Final Inspection
•Meguiar's Quik Detailer
•Mothers California Gold Showtime Instant Detailer
•One Grand Showoff
•Pinnacle Crystal Mist Quick Detailer
•The Wax Shop Slick Stuff
...and now ClearKote Quick Shine.

Is it the best I've ever used? Yes...but not by much.

• It looks no better than many of the brands mentioned above.
• It does appear to leave a finish that releases dust a little more readily. (This is good, especially with a black car)
• It leaves behind a slick, silky feeling. While that may be personally gratifying, unfortunately, it's not something I want other people to realize, because I don't want them touching my paint to check it out.
