This pad has held up well! I\'m reviewing the 6.5\" not 8\" as the description stated above. The directions recommend cleaning the pad by running a fine plastic bristle brush over the pad with the buffer on, but I simply place the pad in a bucket of Dawn immediately after use. I then rinse it out under a nozzle in a wash tub and squeeze out any remaining product. After many uses the pad is still holding up great!
