Member Migraine has this to say about Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover:

This is fantastic for removing the tar splatters that are so common around your wheels and in the lower parts of the bodywork. It doesn't work fantastically on insects - they still need some physically persuasion to come off. I haven't found anything better to remove tar though.

Active Insect Remover is a concentrated foam designed to rapidly dissolve squashed insect remains from vehicle bodywork, windscreens and headlights.

It can be used at the roadside as a quick fix or as part of the full car cleaning process. Spray onto surface to be cleaned. Allow approximately 30 seconds for insect remains to soften.

Wipe off surface with a soft cloth; Autoglym Perfect Polishing Cloth is ideal. Finally clean surface with dry paper towel or hose off if used prior to normal washing of the car. Avoid use on hot surfaces whenever possible.
Stubborn insect remains may require a second application. If the product ‘dries on’, then wipe off is improved if the cloth is dampened or sprayed with Active Insect Remover.

Ideal for use on cars, motorcycles, vans, trucks, boats and caravans.
