he he. Thanks for that. It reminds me of this from the Simpsons.
(While golfing, Homer is struggling in the sand trap. His boss Mr. Burns is there)
<Mr. Burns> Use an open-faced-club, the sand wedge.
    <Homer> mmmmmmmmmm. open-faced club sandwegde.

Accum, what do you mean by "trim" in this case?

845 is primarily a synthetic wax. Pretty good stuff.

I woulda never have thought. Does 845 make trim look good, or just provide protection? I would have thought, due to solvents, that it would be harmful.

Been using 476S,885,845 on trim for a few months now. Black plastic mirrors, side molding, rubber Mud Flaps, Linex bed liner etc. If trim was faded I use 920 first. I even went as far as 920 then 885 on the wheel wells of the Wife`s Toyota.

    Re: Collinite Sale

WaxAddict- I always get the black trim/etc. pretty nice before I apply the 845, so while it might impart a bit more sheen IME it`s primarily protective.

Yeah, I`d wondered about "using petroleum distillate products on rubber and plastic" and I`ve been *sternly* warned (to put it politely ) about the inevitable damage that it`ll (supposedly) cause, but after waxing my rubber and plastic trim for decades (almost 30 years of it on the Jag) I`ve *never* had any problems at all. None.

It works so well that I simply DO NOT use ERV dressings (which I now refer to as "trim slime" ) on such surfaces unless, hypothetically speaking, they`re so utterly degraded that I think that`s the only viable option (that`d be on somebody else`s vehicle, doesn`t apply to any of mine hence the hypothetical).

I`ve even used their 476S paste and FK1000P for this, but those aren`t *NEARLY* as foolproof and while it worked fine for me (and for davidc) YMMV and honestly I still think "don`t try this at home, kids" might apply.

Love Collinite! One of the old-schooled product brand that is darn cheap and performs amazingly.
