    Coatings as we know them becoming obsolete???

    Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

    So what happens if I top this with a coating or wax?

    I bet the surface would have some "bite" for the wax....

    I like it but it probably doubles the price of your new ride and only comes in matte gray.

    This seems more like a matte paint type of care. As soon as you polish this (or wear it a little bit during the life of the car) the micro scale features will go away, leaving you without the same hydrophobic properties.
