    Vrp to the test

    0719151358-00.jpg

I figured it would be more forgiving than the TW coating if i did not like it. WOW. 1 lake county foam tire dressing applicator with just 2 beads covered each tire. Not like any other dressing i have worked with. Like a cream more than a gel. Almost dries on contact. Spreads over the tire evenly. 1 coat was enough for that dressed look. Grabbed a MF, but not really needed. No xcess on the tires. Smell is great. I really dont see how this could sling, but it`s got to pass that test yet. If it does, this is one heck of a tire dressing!

I knocked the shine down with a MF after the picture for a more natural look.

Naturally shiny tho. Guess the only real test is get it out today at highway speeds and see...

Well that was weird. Had it up to 65. Passenger side NO SLING. Driverside very small pinhead splatter marks. You really had to look to see them on the dark paint. But the side glass you could see them. SO.......Guess its a 50% pass. LOL

Still may look into the TW ENDURASHINE COATING in the future. Been hearing rants and raves about it.

Looks good. Curious to see what the durability is.

OP, Have you ever used Adams VRT? If so, what were your thoughts?

    Re: Vrp to the test

I had the same problem with it flinging off and then when it got wet with dew it seemed to run really bad. The last time I used it was about 4 or 5 years ago. I used it on a set of side mirrors and tires and had the same running striking problem with both after a hard overnight dew.

    Re: Vrp to the test

I did not find VRP shiny or slinging. I just apply to a foam applicator.

    Re: Vrp to the test

My final thoughts on VRP. I do like the look and the fact its water based and more of a lotion that dries on contact. I think it applies perfect with a round foam pad, then a final wipe with a MF towel. I will pay attention to the outer treads. The thought of using a black dye (tw coating) is just not for me. (And i have nothing against for thoes that praise the product) VRP is really a different product and i think a good one if i give it a chance.

Some have claimed that VRP and Adam`s are cousins. I have not seen a review trying to prove it.

Stick with what you have. It`s a good product but durability is it`s weak point. I find it to be a bit greasy and gave it away to someone.

If you like Adams VRT, you will love Prima Infinity.

Infinity flies under the radar, but it`s one of the best out there. You will get beading on your tires. It`s a very satin type look. It`s thick like OptiBond - but not as greasy.
