Re: Getting Rid of my Rupes 15

What did it cost you to ship?
Did you ship free or did buyer have to pay for shipping?
I may list my polishers on Ebay too then.
I`ve been going back and forth on CL with some shady guy. He wanted my address just to come check out my polishers. Never made an offer but was asking strange questions. He finally tells me his stuff was stolen in Camden Nj. What kinda mobile detailer world go to that town?
    I got offered $600 for a 3401,15, and 21. Crazy if i took it.
Now he offers me $225 for a hardly used flex....I might as well send it to my Secret Santa recipient....lol

I thin it was like 15 bucks to ship. I wrapped the Rupes factory box in a bunch of bubble wrap and wrapped that in brown paper from the Dollar Store.

    Kinda feel bad now.

Just picked up two x $200 gift certificates over at the Geek for $300 as a Cyber Buster. Will use these to get the MkII ($399 - free shipping)

Total cost to go from MkI to MkII - $19.

Getting Rid of my Rupes 15

Also got $50 cyber gift, sample, some stickers, & an AGO calendar. All 4 zero.

I was low life enough to see if I could get a free a Rupes hat they are offering on Autopia with any Rupes purchase - but at the Geek. Would just buy the hat - but they aren`t for sale on AGO.

Kinda feel like a trader for ordering from the `Geek. Hopefully ACC didn`t have this same promotion and I just missed it.

Anyway, I will be comparing this MkII against the original when I get it. My focus will not be on "is it a good machine?" Because the Mk I was obviously a great machine.

My focus will be on - "is it worth upgrading from the Mk I to the Mk II?" I ain`t in nobody`s pocket here - so expect the truth.

I noticed if you spray the panels with WD40 before using your favorite polish the Rupes never loses rotation. ..

Looking forward to a honest review on whether it`s worth it to upgrade.

    Bet they will.

LOL, forget that guy. People on CL are scammers, cheaters or wheeler dealers. Fair market values for those machines are as follows.

Rupes 21 - 315 good condition with box
    Rupes 15 - 285 same
    Flex 3401 - 270 W/extra plate

Hope that helps. List them on Detailing Bliss and Meguiars online for sale section, you WILL get bites!

Hey I`ve got a Rupes hat if you wanted to trade something for it or just cover shipping? The hat is brand new, just doesn`t fit on my big head. PM me if so.
