Only problem I have with wheel whoolie is lack of grip when wet. Try to decide on what to add for grip, hockey tape? Dip it in rubber (like flex seal stuff or other), looking for ideas. Once my hands are wet I cant control the heads direction well it just spins in my hand.

You know I`ve seen this comment from a lot of people regarding the wheel woolies handle`s slippery when wet reality. I have a spraycan of plasti-dip that I was thinking about trying on it or seeing if I could find a large enough vacuum hose to slip over the it. Hmmmm....

@trashmanssd and @Angus, Hockey tape is a good idea, as well as plastidipping the handle. I believe a competitor of ACC/AG sells grips for the Wheel Woolies, but at a ridiculous price. Wearing textured disposable gloves helps me, but for the most part (this a challenge), I try not to get my hands wet whilst cleaning the wheels.

Remembered I had some liquid plasti-dip left over from a different project so I dipped the WW handle in:
Look ok at first, but a few moments after I took the photo the dip started looking lumpy and weird so I cleaned it off. I`ll try the plasti-dip spray on version next and report back. If there`s one thing about using plastic dip I don`t like its how fast the liquid version goes off after you open the can. You have maybe a week to use it up before it start to go off. Pretty annoying. As you can see in the above photo I even tried sealing the can up in a plastic bag.

I`m entertaining this idea - Grippy shrink wrap.
Stuff gets a fair amount of discussion on fishing forums.

If the can of Plasti dip was fresh, dipping the handle would have been perfect. But it wasn`t and I`m just going to toss the can now anyway - so no harm no foul. And until an hour or so ago, I was planning on using the rattle can of pastidip I already own but then I found out about another reasonably priced option... stay tuned for a new unboxing photo...
